Filipino Time

A Citizen watch is a very common brand in the Philippines. It has been known and common here as a middle class brand for a very long time before all the newer imported brands came out.

And now, we have seen an influx of a variety of imported watch names for the young and old. They are made of different materials to cater to different tastes—either classy, elegant, functional, whimsical, or novelty.

But what doesn’t change is how Filipinos view time. Despite owning more than one watch, a Filipino is most of the time late. More than having a designer watch or a Citizen watch, we need to change our attitude about our appointments so that we no longer will be associated with the term, “Filipino time”.
