Comfort Foods

Now that my friend daughter’s prom is over, she's been off her "diet" and eating her regular comfort foods. Lucky for her she has a great metabolism and she doesn't get fat as quick as I do.

If I were eating the same food as she's eating now, I'm sure I'll need some OxyElite Pro to get back in shape. Maybe because of my age too or maybe it's just because she has more physical activities than I do that she burns the fat in an instant. Whatever the reason is, she's lucky she's in the prime of her youth. When she gets to my age, there will be no such thing as comfort food anymore.

New Pool Lifts

I just noticed that most of the public pools in our area have been installed with ada compliant lifts. Ever since that mandate came out last September, I have been waiting when it will be implemented in our area.

I am happy that it is just in time for spring and summer so most of those that would need it get to enjoy the season too. At least now they won't have a hard time carrying wheelchairs everywhere and trying to adapt the disabled to the pool. Now they can enjoy their swim just as much as the next person.

Buy me a Plasma Please?

We went to an appliance shop last Sunday while we were at the mall. I have wanted a plasma TV since we remodeled our house but hubby says it might just take a lot of space.

Luckily, I found another way of “displaying” it, by using plasma tv mounts. The TV won’t be taking so much space because it will be safely hung on the wall. Doesn’t that sound great? Finding a TV mount is just another way for me to convince my husband that buying a new TV is a great idea. The space it leaves below can be used as a bookshelf or dresser or something like a display stand. I know I’m so close to convincing him.

Perfect Birthday Gift

Finding the perfect gift for someone dear is always hard. Most of the time, they already have what you’re going to buy for them. The only thing that almost always works out is when the celebrant tells you what she or he wants, or if you customize something.

One of my closest friends will be celebrating her birthday and one thing I know, she loves jewelry. I’m thinking of getting her some birthday jewelry gifts, maybe a simple earring with a matching necklace and bracelet. I know she’ll love them and I know I can find some within my budget that she’ll really, really love. I’m so excited to see her reaction when she opens my gift. I can’t wait!

Green is In!

As a woman I am always on the lookout for new tips online especially when it comes to beauty tips. I find it more useful to search for trends and tips online because they usually come with reviews either rave and rant from a lot of those who have already tried it.

I may not always try them out but I make sure to keep myself abreast of what’s new because who knows when it may come in handy. What I like now is almost everything has something to do with going green (which is good for our planet) or that beauty tips and products are going organic. These are the ones I really like because they not only benefit me, but the whole world as well.

Electronic Theft

I have always exercised caution when walking alone. I really am scared of being mugged or to be victimized by a pickpocket.

But with technology nowadays, you don’t have to be mugged or be physically victimized by a pickpocket anymore. There is now what is called the electronic pickpocketing. I first read this online and I’m just happy that there are measures to prevent this. Information can be “taken” from ID cards, cell phones and credit cards electronically so it’s actually far dangerous that being victimized in the streets. All it takes is just a couple of seconds which is why I’m paying attention to this and getting myself protection, just to be safe.
