Nurses are often identified by their nurses uniforms. These uniforms were originally copied from the nuns’ habits, to imply their act of service to those in need. So the standard uniforms worn by nurses were a cap on the head, a dress and an apron. However, as the years progressed, comfort and easy mobility became a great need, so these uniforms evolved to more modern, more comfortable scrubs—v-neck tops and loose pants. As to the footwear, one could use rubber shoes as supposed to the usual heels.
In some countries, these scrubs could even be made more stylish with prints and vibrant colors. Of course more countries and hospitals opt to stick to the usual color, which is white.
I wonder how nursing uniforms would look like in the coming years. It is not so much of a big issue what they wear, actually as long as they are modest, comfortable, and could make them perform their duties well.
