On Line Training

Last week I received a letter from the Bureau of Workforce Transformation. I’m thinking what could this be? After reading the letter I found it was about going back to school for retraining in a new line of work. It the Michigan plan for not worker left behind. The Federal Pell Grant scholarships cover up to $5,350 in education and training expenses. Most universities and community colleges and many trade and technical schools are accepting these grants.

I’m 57 years old and most degrees are 2 of 3 years programs. By the time I can get a degree I will all most be old enough to retire. I’m trying to think of some kind of training I can get that would only take 6 months. Has any of you fellow bloggers heared of masters in public safety administration? It’s an on-line training I’m hoping it only a 6 month course and that it will be covered under the governments no worker left behind grant.

Blogger Block

After a year of blogging I have got blogger block. My life is so uneventful I don’t really have much to write about. Have any of you had this trouble? I know this blog started to be about my two cats Smokey and Tiger but any one that has cats know all the cats do is eat, sleep and play. I know that you all get tired of hearing about my cats. I’m going to try to think of some new thing to blog about.

Working the 7-Eleven

I’ve been at my new part-time job for 3 weeks now. I have a lot of things to do, keeping the grill stocked, mopping the floors, stocking the slurpee and soda area, making coffee. All these things will help me take of some weight. I want to lose another 30 pounds. I hope that the extra work at the store will help but if it doesn’t I’m sure I’ll be able to find some diet pills that will help. I’ll let you know how everything is working together.

Protect Your Home

Now that I'm back to work part-time I've been thinking I may need a wireless alarm to protect my home and my cats. With the down turn in the economy I'm seeing more home brake-ins. I don't have a lot of expense of thing but what I have I want to protect. My part-time job keeps me away from 4 pm to 11:30 pm when most break in happen so a wireless alarms would protect my home. Better to be safe then sorry.

Our Mommy Took A New Job

Our mommy started a new job last week. We’re not happy about it not at all. We love having her home all day taking care of us. Mommy why did you have to go back to work????

Well boys it you know how much you love your toys and treats??? Well my unemployment isn’t enough to buy everything we need. The job is only part time 3 days a week, that way I can still get my unemployment minus half my gross pay for the three day I work.

The only thing I’ve been able to find is part time work and this job I took is at 7 Eleven. The best thing is that I can walk to work if I want. It’s a good job for someone that likes to watch cars. I really don’t know how some of the young people can afford the cars I’ve seen. More have been fixed up by adding spoilers, lights and special paint job.

Smokey and Tiger's Birthday

Today is our birthday, we're turning 3 years old today. Mommy told us the whole state is celebrating our birthday. People are gathering and having party's with their love one's. Some places are having firework just to celebrate our birthday. After our day of celebrating with mommy we've got to take a nap. Everyone have a fun and save Forth of July.

My New Haircut

It’s been warm here and I went back and forth, should I cut my hair. I didn’t like wearing it up because it gave me a headache after a short time. I called my sister and made an appointment to get my haircut but up to the day I wasn’t sure if I would do it or not. I was trying to let my hair grow so I could maybe braid it. It's only July so it only going to get warmer so I decided to keep my hair appointment. Here is the before photo on the left and the after on the right. I think my new haircut makes me look a little younger. But maybe I should use best eye cream to get rid of my dark circles.
