Nite at a Friends

The other night I went to stay at friends and my boys know as soon as that overnight bag appeared. I have really spoiled Smokey and Tiger. And now that I'm not working their even worst about me not being home. Do get me wrong I love that Smokey and Tiger love me so, its just sometimes I have to go away for the night or two and they get really upset. Here’s Tiger guarding the bag like maybe he can stop me from going.

Beginning Week Four

This is the beginning of week four; I can’t believe I’ve been out of work or three weeks now. I didn’t know till now that I really loved that job. I had a really good job.

Now I’m trying to find a new job but I’m not sure what I’m qualified to do. The only jobs I’ve had are doing graphics and desktop publishing. I’ve been thinking of jobs that we all need, maybe something in the medical field, or working in a department store. I think I many have to get some added training. Then maybe I could get a sales manager jobs. I’ll have to go to Michigan works to see what kind of schooling I can get. Wish me luck. : )

This is how we stay warm, cuddling is the best way to stay warm. We have a nice blanket to lay on and the sun help too when it comes out.


We both love to sit in the bay window to get warm. Winter is almost over so the sun is out more often. We just love to be warm.

Rock Jewelry

With the recent airplane crashes I decide that I don’t want to fly anymore. So if I’m going to take a vacation this year I’m going to have to drive.

Living in Michigan I have the great lakes to visit. My father lives near the shores of Lake Huron. This could be a fun trip going to the beaches and looking for stone. My dad enjoys this hobby and when we find stones that look like they could be something we take them back to his house and use a rock tumbler to polish them. After the rock tumbler does it job we can then make rings or other kinds of jewelry out of them.

Pet Owners Needs to Know

To day I was doing my EC drops and came across this notice on a fellow bloggers blog. I'm so glad I seen this because I was thing about buying this product. If I had my special boys could have been killed by this product. Please read so you don't do any harm to your beloved pets.

Some Of You May Have Already Heard This Before But, We Are Still Posting It

Mom was sent this in an email and she found this interesting and wanted to pass it along. We are not sure, maybe allot of you have heard this before but just the same we are passing it along. Recently someone had to have their 5-year old German Shepherd dog put down due to liver failure. The dog was completely healthy until a few weeks ago, so they had a necropsy done to see what the cause was. The liver levels were unbelievable, as if the dog had ingested poison of some kind. The dog is kept inside, and when he's outside, someone's with him, so the idea of him getting into something unknown was hard to believe.

This persons neighbor started going through all the items in the house. When he got to the Swiffer Wetjet, he noticed, in very tiny print, a warning which stated “may be harmful to small children and animals.” He called the company to ask what the contents of the cleaning agent are and was astounded to find out that antifreeze is one of the ingredients (actually, he was told it's a compound which is one molecule away from antifreeze).

Therefore, just by the dog walking on the floor cleaned with the solution, then licking its own paws, it ingested enough of the solution to destroy its liver.

Soon after his dog's death, his housekeepers' two cats also died of liver failure. They both used the Swiffer Wetjet for quick cleanups on their floors. Necropsies weren't done on the cats, so they couldn't file a lawsuit, but he asked that we spread the word to as many people as possible so they don't lose their animals.

This is equally harmful to babies and small children that play on the floor allot and put their fingers in their mouths.

Week 2

I’ve been home now for 2 weeks. My boys aren’t sure why the alarm clock isn’t going off in the morning. So every morning one of them will wake me up. I made the mistake of giving them a treat every morning before I went to work and now they still want their treat. The other morning after Smokey and Tiger woke me up I started cleaning. I had to do dishes and change a few light bulbs. I noticed my boys weren’t around and wondered where they were. Look where I found them.


So after waking me up and getting their treat they replaced me in my bed. You got to love them.

Preparing Taxes

Yesterday my daughter came over to do my taxes. She’s so nice to do this seeing she lives in Indiana. She and her husband left for Michigan after getting off work Friday night. She still has a home here in Michigan she’s been trying to sell. It’s nice for her to have the house here so when they come to visit they have a place to stay. On the other hand she has to pay for two homes. I’m hoping that this year will be a better year for selling homes.

Today my daughter is going to go to my mothers to do her taxes and after that she will be going to her fathers to do his taxes.

First Week Home

I’ve been home for a full week and I’ve been watching my boys (Smokey and Tiger) to see what they do all day. I’m thinking it would be nice to be a cat, only having to worry about when I’ll get the next treat, belly rub and nap.

I don’t have the best of luck so if I were a cat I’ll be living on the street, spending my day looking for food and a warm place to nap.

Now I'm going to try to find affordable term life insurance seeing I lost my life insurance when I lost my job.

To Rent or Not To Rent

I’ve bee trying to think of ways to make extra money seeing I’m laid off. I’ve been think I have a spare room, maybe I should rent it out. I have rented the room off before. The first time I rented to a old girlfriends brother. It was 3 years before I had to ask him to move out.

The second time I rented out the room I was doing my sister a favor. This lady she work with had a son that was doing in intern and needed a place to stay. He didn’t have his on furniture so I said he could use my furniture. I had most of the stuff he would need. All I had to get was a tv stand.

My children had been gone for 5 years of so and I for got what it was like to have a young person living with me. This only lasted 6 months before I asked him to find another place to live.

Now I’m deciding if I can do it again. The first think I have to do is clean out the spare room. It’s the place all the extra stuff has found a place to live.


This room isn't that big so it's hard to get a shot of it. But you can see the broken water bed. Now it's a place to put things.

We (mommy, Smokey and Tiger) want to thank the many bloggers that visit our blog. It warms our heart that we have so many visitors. We would also like to thank all the blogger that leave comments. Now that I’m not working this is going to be my way to commutate to other people. Smokey and Tiger are great company but it nice to others to visit with. Thanks again.

Ground Hog Day : (

I’m so tried of winter. Whenever we see the sun it’s a good day. To bad there’s not to many good day’s lately. I’m really mad at that ground hog Phil, why didn’t he just stay in his hole. I was so hoping Phil wouldn’t see his shadow. The way my luck is going I should have know he was going to see that scary shadow.

Guess I’m going to have to buy diet pills online to get my winter fat off.

Signing Up

Day one of being out our work, up at 6 a.m. thanks to my boys wanting their treats. Guess I’ll have to retrain them to wait for they treat till I get up.

Well seeing I’m up guess I should sign up for unemployment. I logged in and started the claim to find out the unemployment on line doesn’t open till 7 a.m. Who know? So I went back to bed. He he. I woke again a little after 7 so started the claim again. All went well and after I got showered so I could go to Michigan Works to put my resume on their site. If you don’t do that you won’t get any money. This took me 3 hours because the place was packed with unemployed people. Not a good sign.
