Helpful Information on Cancer

I know from doing my E-card dropping that all of you have family members that are fighting cancer. I my self have two family members with cancer my mother and brother in-law. My mother has lung cancer and my brother in-law has lymphoma. I’m always looking for new treatments, or anything new that may help in their fight against these cancers. The Boss Called

As some of you may know what's been going on at the company I work at. For you that don't in Sept. all but 8 of us were laid off. Then by Christmas all but 2 of us were left. This week we finished the work we had and had a feeling that this could be it for us. Today when we made it to the end of the day we thought maybe we were going to be OK. We left working thinking we would be back on Monday.

I stopped by my mothers for a visit, then I came home feed the cats and came in the computer room to play a little pogo. Around 7:00 the phone rings, I look at the caller ID and its work. I didn't want to answer but knew I had to. It was my boss, she told me she really wanted to come talk to us in person but couldn't find the time. She said she was sorry but she was go to have to lay me and my co-work off. So now I get to join the rest of my co-worker in the unemployment line.

The man I was working with is old enough to retire but I still have 9 years before I can retire. I'm really scared. I think I'm going to need some acne treatment because of all this stress.

Doctor Visit

Mommy was really worried about us having diarrhea so she made us a doctor appointment. She asked our human brother to help her seeing we haven’t been to the doctor since we were kittens. After work mommy stopped and picked up Joe and then came to pick us up. We did our best to hide because we didn’t want to get in the carrier. Mommy was getting mad because we keep running away, but we were caught and put in the carrier.

The car ride wasn’t to bad but when we got to the doctors Smokey started to cry. We went to this room and a nurse came in to weigh us. Smokey weight is 11 lbs 5 ounces. And my weight is 13 lbs 13 ounces. Soon the doctor came in and first he took a look at Smokey. Then it was my turn, after the examine the doctor said he couldn’t find anything wrong with us. He then gave us our rabies shot and told mommy we were healthy.

When it was time to get back in the carrier we got in with no trouble because we know we were going to be going home.

Just a Little Note

We just want to say that we're sorry we haven't be posting lately but mommy tells us that we're not doing anything new. All we do is lay around, eat and poop. And lately both of us have been having diarrhea and it's making mommy worried. I think it may be the cat grass because we haven't eaten anything else different. So we're going to try to get better and then maybe we will start doing some cute stuff so mommy will start posting again. Mommy said that when we start doing cute things again she going to get a digital frame to put our photos in.

Hard Times

We just want to say a pray for Michigan. Our State is in trouble, so many out of work and so many have loss they homes. We're praying that our new President will turn this hard time around. The company our mommy works at is in big trouble because all the work it does is for the Big 3. We're praying that the money the government gave the Big 3 will help.

Breadou Wrist Rest

Are any of you fellow bloggers like me? I work all day and a computer and then I come home to my home computer. After years and years of using the computer it has taken a toll on my wrist. I’ve had a cyst removed one from each wrist. The Doctor said it could have been caused by hours and hours of using the computer.
I came a cross a web site that sells these cool memory foam computer wrist rest. Their called Breadou, computer wrist rest and yes they look like bread. If you go to their web site they will explain the benefits of the new fun wrist rest better then I can, while visiting this site I placed my order. I think it is well worth it to check the site out.

I just want to thank Carlota for reading my mind. It's so funny I was posting that post about having the Christmas layout till spring the same time Carlota was loading a new layout for me and my boys. She's so talented. I really miss having her to work with.

New Profession for Me?

It’s been 3 weeks since Carlota and Stephanie were laid off. Its really quite with out Carlota, I really miss her. As you can see my blog is missing her too. She does my blog lay out because I don’t know how. We may have this Christmas lay out till spring.

I’ve been trying to think of a new profession, one that has nothing to do with the auto industry. I keep seeing new reports on how hospitals are in great need of nurse’s. I’m not sure I’m smart enough to be a nurse. Maybe I could go to medical assistant training school. There’s a new hospital not to far from my home. I really think I should check it out.

Our Christmas Gift

This is the Christmas gift from the couple that caught us when we were babies. We had to wait for the grass to grow. Mommy had to take the grass over to her mother’s house because we wouldn't let it grow; we wanted to try it before it was ready. Today mommy went to our grand mom’s house and got our gift. Here we are getting our first taste of the grass.


I just couldn't wait for Tiger, I had to get the first taste.



We want to thank Bill and Nancy for this great tasting gift. We both love the grass.

The Last Week of 2008 (continued)

Tuesday I had to work so I couldn’t be home when the AT & T tech came to fix my U-verse again. Oh I don’t think I told you all with everything that was going on my U-verse went out again. I asked my son to come over and wait for the tech. All day at work all I could think about was the waterbed; I decided to leave work a little early. When I got home my son was waiting and to my surprise my son had drained the waterbed. He said the tech had also came and told him the reason my U-verse was out was because the power was out for my U-verse and when Consumers got the power back on my U-verse would come back on.

I asked my son if the power was back on at my mother’s house and he said no. Then I asked why he didn’t bring my mother over here? He told me he asked her if she wanted to come with him and she said no. So I called her and asked why she didn’t want to come over? She said it’s not that cold here I didn’t believe her, I told her to pack some stuff and I’ll be over to get her. I didn’t want her getting sick. She had lung cancer and part of her left lung removed. She also had a stroke after her surgery and sometimes she doesn’t think clearly.

It wasn’t long after my mother got to my house that I remembered how much fun it was to live with her. You know I’m kidding right. So now I had to house guests my son and mother. Smokey and Tiger didn’t know what was going on. Someone was in their mommy’s bed. Because I’m a good daughter I let my mother sleep in my bed and I slept on the waterbed with an air mattress in it. My son went back to my mothers to sleep. All I can say is it was the longest 48 hour I have spent in a long time. Her power came on around 2:00 on Thursday. So after letting her house warm up again I took her home. She was ready to leave and I was ready to take her home.

The Last Week of 2008

Well this is how my last week of 2008 went. On Sunday I was going to change the sheets on the waterbed. When I started to pull the sheets off the bed I noticed water stains on the sheets so I decided to wait to change the sheets because I really didn’t want to deal with this right now.

Monday I went to work and after work I took my mother to the grocery store. When we got back to her house we found my son (who lives with my mother) at the top of the stairs telling us that the power is out. Thinking that the power would only be off for a few hours we put mom’s grocery away and started a fire in the fireplace. Then I went home.

When I got home I thought I should find out if the waterbed was leaking. When I went to pull back the mattress back to see if I could find the leak I found a 4 inch crack in the mattress. And when I pulled the mattress back the crack open and water was going everywhere. As some of you know I live alone so I had no one to help me. I run to get some towels, by time I got back I had a mess. Maybe I should have got the video camera so I could send the tape to Funnies Home Video. Well I had this exercise bean so I pulled the mattress back so I could wedge the bean between the frame and the mattress. Then I clean up some or the water and then I went to get the hose and the draining tools. After trying for an hour or so I gave up and went to call my son for help. He came over but for some reason we just couldn’t get the bed to drain. So we had the bean in place so the bed wasn’t leaking anymore so we decided to wait till tomorrow (Tuesday) to figure this out.

Great Find

We hope that everyone had a great New Year and got everything they wanted for Christmas. While doing on line shopping for Smokey and Tiger I found a great site. It’s www.shopwiki.com this web site give you the different stores that carry the produces that your looking for. For me it cat stuff, mostly toys for my boys because they love to play.

I found this site has the best selection and prices. I’ve been looking for a litter box that Smokey and Tiger can’t throw the litter all over. I don’t understand why they have to do that. I think I might try a covered litter box. I was also looking for a harness so maybe in the spring I can take Smokey and Tiger out side. I’m able to find everything I could ever want for my boys at www.shopwiki.com it is one of the best sites I’ve found yet.
