Time Saver
As some of you may know I'm working at 7-11 and it's my first time working as a cashier. I'm so glad that someone invented barcode and barcode scanner. It really saves time and it keeps us from making errors. I really don't know what I'd do if all products didn't have bar codes on them. Having barcode scanners saves so much time so I have time to do all the other stuff I have to do in the store. I didn’t know I would have to do so much. Besides working the register I have to keep the grill stocked, stock the cooler, mop the floors, make coffee and so much more. It’s a lot harder then the job I use to have as a graphic arts and I'm getting paid a lot less money. But I’m thankful to have a job.

Barcodes do make things much easier.
oh my never worked at 7-11 but I did work in small convenience store in Maine.
We didn't bar codes and we also made and served fresh pizzas.
I tell you stocking and fronting that cooler is back breaker too!!
If people truly knew and understood just how much is involved in clerking...well, let's just say until you've done it...you have no clue.
It takes a lot of patience, quick thinking, and hard work.
Oh yes we also sold beer and wine so you also had to check ID's and every once in a while argue with a drunk because you won't sale him anymore booze.
i was grateful at the time to have the job too. But, wow, it is hard work!!
Oh my gosh! Today when I was visiting your blog I see the background image is "you have exceded your bandwidth for today"! Congrats on all the visitors, that really rocks.
