Poem 1 of 4

August 3 my sisters father in-law passed away. This was really hard on his great granddaughters. This was the first member in their family to die in their young lives. My 16 year old great neice wrote 4 poems to her greatgrand father that I'm going to post because I think there very special.

“Grandpa”
7-30-2008
By: Kaitlynn Traynor

Sitting there
In your chair
Making me laugh
So hard I
Could hardly bear
To breath or stop
Crying tears of joy
Never letting go
Of my favorite toy
Sitting there
In your chair
Watching T.V.
Locked on
With a stare
Never losing sight
Watching w/o a care
Sitting down
With out a frown
Asking me about
The cutest boy in town
Asking me
If his name was Bob or Jon
No I would reply
His name is Tom
Sitting down
With out a frown
Telling me stories
Me listening
With out a sound
Each time I saw you
It got worse
From losing your teeth
To bean so small
You’re losing your shirt
I rejected seeing you
Cause it hurt so much
Epically in my hart
Where the pain began to crush
But now you’re gone
Your spirit
I hope it flies free
But I hope not soon
That this will be
But one day your spirit
Flies with me
Next to each other
Side by side
Gently nudging
You’re always here
On the inside
I hope your spirit
Lives on happy
In a world where
You are free
From pain and creulity
And where you always
Belong rite next to me

“Hello new world”
8-5-08
By: Kaitlynn Traynor

In my
Last poem
I said
Goodbye
But I
Can’t say that
With out wanting
To cry
So now I
Want to say
Hello to the new you
Cuz to me
You didn’t die
Your spirit
Just grew
To an extent
Where the body
Was not used
The space
Was used
Just in greed
So now
You fly
In my hart
cuz if it
ever stopped
you’d make
it start
now I
understand
the pain
of saying
goodbye
I want to show
Y we should
Be saying hi
Cuz your body
may be dead
but not
the mind
that left
your head
so in my
last few lines
I want to say hello
I understand
You didn’t leave me
Cuz if you did
My love for you
wouldn’t flow

“Nite life”
8-5-08
By: Kaitlynn Traynor

Staring at
The nite sky
Watching the
Beauty of your
Spirit fly
Holding out my hand
Feeling your
Invisible skin
Touching your mind
From within
I smile
As I watch
The nite
And watch
Your spirit
Take on to flight
Down and around
My body
My mind
Not having a care
For the world
Or time
I lay down on the roof
As a tear
Falls down
Then your smile
Turns into
A frown
As I began
To read your face
I finally start to see
I should be happy
You got to know me
My tears, they fade
My smile returns
Knowing your love
For me will
always burn
In my heart
Down my soul
Cuz until I die
The love will
Always flow

“Saying goodbye”
By: Kaitlynn Traynor
8-5-08

Now you’re gone
Your spirit
Flies free
In my heart
As it stays
With me
Your body
Sits empty
In the ground
It lays
Down there
Not making
A sound
But the
Noise of
Your life
Cheers in
My heart
Cause with out
You here id
Fall apart
Even though
Your not
Physically here
The thought
Of you
Leaving me
Is my
Biggest fear
I know
Your body
It lays
To rest
But it
Belonged to
You
Who is
The best
For just being mine
Cuz every minute
I spent w/ you
Was the best time
So its time
To say goodbye
But your not
Rly gone
Cuz your
Spirit still
Flies

Last Days of Summer

So it’s the last holiday of the summer. We’re really going to enjoy three days with our mom. We really love having her home with us. It would really be nice if she could stay home with us all the time. We really hate to see the summer end. It’s going to be turning cold and the snow will start falling soon. We really like having the windows open, hearing and watching the bird. We’re going to have to make the most of these last days of summer.

My Boy Smokey

Hey Tiger where are you? Don't you want to come lay up here with me?

Don't Leave It Open

My mom should know if she leaves a door open I'm going to go get in it. I really like it in here, it so cozy. Sometimes Tiger and I both get in here together. I really like in the cloths hamper but mom can never get a picture of me in there because I jump out before she can.

How The Week Treating You?

So far this week has been great my daughter and son in-law are home. Well I call this home, I know they live in Indiana now but a mother can hope. I just miss my daughter so much. It's not the same, I can't just call her to go shopping or just to hang out when she's 3 hours away. She told me their trying to get pregnant, guess its time they been married almost a 1 year now. If she does have a baby my first grandchild and they live 3 hours away how will I deal?

Sweet Smokey

Look I'm up here... I like to be up high so I have a good view of everything. Hey Tiger what are you doing down there? I like it up here you can see everything come up here there’s room for both of us.

Poncho

In posted in an early post about Ponch, my son-inlaws German Sheperd. Well just this last Monday my son in-law and my daughter had to send Ponch to the great Rainbow Bridge. I know how hard this was for them because I had to do it to my Oscar 3 years ago. Last Saturday my daughter and son in-law took both dogs (Poncho and Peanut) to the park where they had a family photo taken. When I get a picture I post it here for you all to see how sweet their boys are. Peanut is lost with out his best friend, do you think he knows that Ponch was sick?

What is a Cougar?

Some of the young men I work with keep calling me a cougar, does any of you bloggers know what a cougar is? I thought it was a wild animal, I’m I wrong? Help me friend’s cause I just don’t know what they’re talking about. And their making fun of me.

Bad Boy

Have any of you cat lovers ever lost a cat? Well not really lost but misplaced. No not even that I don't know what to call it.

I was getting ready to go visit my mother but before I leave the house I make sure I know where my boys are (Smokey and Tiger). Aren't they cute? I just love those boys. :)

Well any how I found Smokey but Tiger wasn't coming to me no matter what I did. I looked everywhere. I got some toys and started shaking them... no Tiger. I was starting to panic, I hadn't been out of the house so there was no way he could be outside. But I looked outside still, when I came back in from outside there was Tiger in the hall way. When I asked him where he'd been he just put his head down in shame. I think he know he had scared the crap out of me.

Beauty Sleep

This morning like every morning I woke to the alarm and my sweet Tiger. Tiger sleep with me every night, and Smokey usually sleeps in the living room in the recliner. When the alarm goes off my boys know its time for their treat so if I hit the snooze there in my face purring and rubbing till I can’t stand it and get up and give them their treat. I’ve created monsters. So on the week ends my only days to sleep in I get the same thing. Its usually a little later then 4:30 maybe around 7 they start trying to wake me up. My lack of beauty sleep is really starting to show. Good thing my boys don’t care what I look like.

This is where Smokey sleeps at night, during the day they both like to sleep together.

What To Do To Night

It the day before the Dream Cruise, I really want to go driving around after work but last night my son stopped by to use the garage (where he keeps all his tools). And I asked him want he was doing tomorrow night…not sure…so I asked him if he wanted to go cruising. Been there done that he said. Guess that means NO. I don’t like going by myself in case I have car trouble. My son is the mechanic, I sent him to school to become a mechanic because he loved working on cars. Then after his first job work at a dealership he hated it. He still work on our cars (mine, sister, grandmother, friends). So back to the Dream Cruise, there are so many cars that you do sit in traffic a lot and the old cars tend to overheat. So guess I’ll be staying home with the kids that like to spend time with me Smokey and Tiger. I love those boys.

SMOKEY AND TIGER

I know my daughter would go but as some of you know she moved to Indiana with her husband and two dogs (Poncho and Peanut). Poncho is sick and can’t travel, he’s a 13-year-old shepherd and it not looking good for him vet thinks it cancer.

DAUGHTER AND SON IN-LAW

I hate that cancer, it taken my sister’s father in-law, my dad’s best friend, my ex father-in and my dog Oscar. My mother’s had breast cancer and 6 years later she fighting lung cancer. My brother in-laws fighting lymphoma. It’s the worst sickness ever.

Leslie Hall

A friend of mine at work told me about this woman, she good for a laugh. If she can be famous doing this kind of stuff maybe this hope for me. I'm still looking for that million dollar idea. ENJOY

2008 Dream Cruise

My post yesterday told you all about the Dream Cruise down Woodward Avenue. Well today I'm posting the classic car I own with my daughter. It's a 69 Camero it's the same age as my son ha ha. We bought it from my uncle after he fell from a tree takeing his deer blind down. He had two at the time a 68 convertible and 69 hard top. We really wanted the convertible but at the time he only want to get rid of the 69 so we bought it. We've had it for 10 years now.

Woodward Dream Cruise 2007

This Saturday is the Dream Cruise, if you haven’t heard of it it’s a gathering of old cars. It’s been going on now for around 10 years and each year it gets bigger and bigger. People come from all over to drive up and down Woodward Avenue. Or maybe I should say park on Woodward. It’s gotten so big that I don’t like taking my old car down there. I’m afraid it will over heat from sitting in the traffic. Tomorrow I post some photos of my car. Enjoy the video of 2007 Dream Cruise.

To Days Economy

I don’t know about you but I’m really getting sick and tired of every business I deal with, telling me that because of the economy we’re going to have to raise your bill. Prices on everything is going up but our wages are going down. The company I work for pulled the same shit. Oh the economy is bad so we’re going to have to cut your pay. What is going on? How are we suppose to live.

I live in Michigan and because Michigan put all it eggs in one basket the auto industry. And the auto industry is taking a dump, it seams like the government want the lower class to pay the bill. It’s not the lower class that caused this problem but we have to pay for it!

I’m to old to look for a new job and the housing market is bad so if you wanted to move to another state you can’t sell your house. I’m just so sick and tired of trying to make a living. I’ve work hard for the last 40 years and I just can’t get a head.

Sorry for complaining but no one reads this stuff anyhow and maybe by writing it in here I’ll fell better.

Basket for us

Mom brought home a new toy for us, her friend at work had it in her office. When mom saw it she told her that we would love it so her friend (Carlota) let her bring it home to us.

My New Bed

That Smokey is always the first to try out anything new. He's a lot smaller then me but he always gets his way. I don't know why that is, guess I just love him so that I let him get away with it. So guess I'll find somewhere else to nap.

Smokey Is Alway First

Guess I'll just have to go to the next best place. I love to lay on the back of the couch or love seat. Mom will come by and give me pats, hugs and kisses. Guess that better then getting to nap in that old basket. Smokey can have it.

Lazy Day

This is how Smokey and I spend most of our day when mom's off to work. But when mom get home we're both at the back door waiting. When mom get home she always gives us a treat. I think she feels bad for leaving us for so long. We know she has to work so we can get treats, toys, food, litter and all the other stuff we need. Here we are just chilled in the bedroom with our ball one of many toys we have. Mom's so good to us we're lucky she saved us.

Simons Cat video

Mom's making fun of me (Tiger)

So yesterday my mom caught me in the middle of a yawn and now she’s making fun of me. I really don’t think that’s nice. My brother Smokey is even laughing at me.
Before this humiliating picture of me my bother and I were having a nice day playing with our toys. Our mommy is good to us that way she really does spoil us. But at the same time if she can she likes tell everyone about the funny stuff we do.

We took turns with the toys.

Do you see the bug? I know I saw it.
