Poem 3 of 4

August 3 my sisters father in-law passed away. This was really hard on his great granddaughters. This was the first member in their family to die in their young lives. My 16 year old great neice wrote 4 poems to her greatgrand father that I'm going to post because I think there very special.

Staring at
The nite sky
Watching the
Beauty of your
Spirit fly
Holding out my hand
Feeling your
Invisible skin
Touching your mind
From within
I smile
As I watch
The nite
And watch
Your spirit
Take on to flight
Down and around
My body
My mind
Not having a care
For the world
Or time
I lay down on the roof
As a tear
Falls down
Then your smile
Turns into
A frown
As I began
To read your face
I finally start to see
I should be happy
You got to know me
My tears, they fade
My smile returns
Knowing your love
For me will
always burn
In my heart
Down my soul
Cuz until I die
The love will
Always flow
