Valentine's Day Present

It’s Chinese new year, so malls and shops have those deep red lantern decorations which have been there for about a week or so now. There’s Chinese New year sale everywhere, but I am not sure how long they will go on for. I hope they will go all the way to Valentine’s day!

Speaking of Valentine’s, I am sure eating places and fancy restaurants would be packed on that day so I am not sure if hubby and I could go on a date. I have not thought of a gift to give him yet—maybe one of those gold chain? We are not really that particular in gift-giving during Valentine’s, but I would not mind if I’d receive a surprise present!

Going Back to the Corporate World

My friend has been a stay-at-home mom for years now and it makes her miss how it felt like to go out of the house early in the morning wearing make up and heeled shoes. Not that she has regrets about giving up her job. She have seen the advantages of that decision now, and if she could turn back time, she would still do the same.

Now that her kids are older, she is seriously considering going back to the corporate world. She thinks she would do good in sales, or in technical jobs. She is a bit techie and handy too, so she don’t mind working with those thrust bearings and heavy equipment. Kidding aside, she think men would fare a lot better than her when it comes to the latter. She have not made up her mind on this, actually… or shall we say, she is just waiting for the right opportunity.

So I am hoping she will bump in one soon!
