Strange Visiter

This morning when I came out of my bedroom I found both of my boys sitting in the hall staring at the doors where the furnace is. The day before I heard a bird in the pipe from the furnace. That bird had made it into the house and the cats wanted to play with it.

This had happen before but I didn't have my boys then. I went to Meijer to get a butterfly net. I had one before but this doesn't happen often so I gave the butterfly net to one of my great nieces. So I had to get another one.

We're waiting for you birdie come out and play.

What do you think this thing is for Smokey??????? I think mommy's going to try to catch the birdie and let it go outside so we won't hurt it.

Come on mommy let us just play with it a little bit.

Sorry I couldn't get a photo of the bird after I caught it but I was little freaked out and once I got it in the net and used a dust pan to keep the bird in the net I just ran outside and let it go. What a morning.

Farrah Fawcett Dies

Farrah Fawcett (February 2, 1947 – June 25, 2009) - I'm so sadden by the death of Farrah I remember watching her on Charlie's Angels I didn't miss a show that whole year she was on it. I feel so bad for her son Redmond and Ryan. Cancer is such a heartless disease and it has touched so many.

Farrah you rest now and enjoy the life after.

Michael Jackson "The King of Pop" dies Friday, June 26, 2009

When I opened my mail today, I was shocked with this news…Michael Jackson died on Thursday in a Los Angeles hospital. He suffered a cardiac arrest earlier Thursday afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. When paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

May his soul rest in piece....

I remember when I was younger and taking diet pills I had so much energy I could good all day long with out getting tired. I'm going to diet pill reviews to see if I can find a diet pill that will give me more energy. I take vitamins and get lots of sleep but I need something more.

Lots of Cornbread

Today my aunt got out of the hospital after a 4 week stay. I went over to help my uncle make cornbread for a thing that was going on at the Elks a club my uncle and aunt belong to. My aunt couldn't help this year so I step in to help. I see my self helping out over here a lot till my aunt can get back to herself. Here are the pictures of the cornbread we made 6 trays cut into 3 inch squares.

I notice that my aunts carpet needed to be cleaned. Maybe I should do that for her or maybe they could buy some nice rugs to cover the dirty carpet.

You've Got To Love Them

It's been a long time since I've seen this. I don't see the two of them in the same chair to often. Aren't they so cute I just love my boys.

Finally Home

My aunt went in to the hospital Mothers Day the next day she had surgery. Tomorrow she will finally get to come home. My uncle asked me if I could come over and help out for a few weeks till my aunt gets stronger. He wants to change a few things in the bathroom to make it easier for my aunt. He wants to change the bath faucet and add a bar in the tub. I had to do the same thing for my mother after her lung surgery. I'm glad to help; it gets me out of this house. I'm sure my boys (Tiger and Smokey) aren't going to like me being gone; they love having their mommy home all the time.

Cancer Strikes Again

Today my stepmother is on her way to U of M to find out what they can do for her. Last week her doctor told her she has skin cancer (Melanoma). They didn’t want to way so the next day U of M called to set up the appointment. My stepmother’s daughter and my father are going with her for moral support. I just want to say I’m praying for you and think positive.

I know that my family’s not the only family this keeps happening to but enough is enough. If you need information on any cancers you can find it on the Internet. There’s a fairly new cancer called mesothelioma. Approximately 2000 new cases are diagnosed each year.

May's Top 10 Droppers

Today is the beginning of another new month, we (Smokey and Tiger) would like to take this time to THANK our top 10 Droppers. It still amazes us that so many bloggers visit us each month.

Happy Birthday Kaitlynn

Today is one of my great nieces birthday I want to wish her Happy Birthday and I want to wish her the best. She’s turning 17 today; I know she’s had a few tough years dealing with all the teenage presser. And like most teenager she’s had a problem with acne. It’s really been hard for her to find the right acne treatment with so many different kinds of acne treatments out there. Girl friend I’m sending you happy wishes and wishing you the best year try to enjoy it OK sweetie. Love ya Aunt Deanie

Here she is two years ago with Tiger.

Handy Man

I'm finding out that I have a very handy son in-law. Before moving to Indiana he refinished the basement at my daughters home here in Michigan. Now the basement has a living room, bedroom and a full bathroom. He did have help with the walls but did all the ceramic tile his self. The floor in the living room and bathroom is ceramic tile. He did a very nice job all the lines are straight and the grout is beautiful. Nice job Sal, now that he finished the home in Michigan he's now working on the condo in Indiana.

Renewed Friendship

Yesterday (Sunday) was the best day I’ve had since being laid off from my job. No I didn’t find a job but I did reconnect with an old friend. We’ve known each other since our teenage years. He had graduated and had opened a motorcycle shop across the street from our high school. At the time I didn’t really know how old he was, I just know he was older then me. When I didn’t want to go to class I would go hang out at the shop. I was a wild boy crazy girl. And Phil’s Cycle Shop was a good place to meet boys. I met my son’s father at Phil’s; some of you may know that story. To make a long story short I got pregnant by a boy/man 7 years older them me. We didn’t marry, I had my son and when my son was 6 weeks old his father pasted away at the age of 23. After all this I really didn’t hang out at Phil’s much. We seen each other around but really didn’t talk. I was busy raising my son and Phil was married and busy with his cycle shop.

Ok now we’ll fast-forward 40 years. Even though we lived our separate lives I never forgot Phil. Last year Phil and his second wife stopped by to let me know that my son’s fathers family was trying to get in touch with him. Seeing my son’s grandmother had passed away the rest of his fathers family didn’t know how to reach my son, so they contacted Phil to see if he know how to get a hold of me. When Phil and his wife stopped by he and his wife were both bald. I didn’t asked at the time but a few days later with I stopped by the shop to get the phone number for my son Phil told me his wife had lung cancer and only had a year of so. So two months ago Phil’s sole mate passed away. I only met Phil’s wife that one time so I went to the funeral home to pay my respects and let Phil I was here if he needed a friend.

So Phil has called and I’m trying to be his friend and help him through this tough time. Phil love to ride his motorcycles, Friday Phil call and asked me if I would want to go riding with him on Sunday. I loved riding too with I was younger, both my husband had motorcycles but I’ve been divorced since 1987 and haven’t been on a bike for over 25 years. I told Phil that and that I would love to go riding with him. Sunday Phil came over around 12 noon we left shortly after and didn’t return till 5 o’clock and 150 miles later. I had a great time I hope Phil enjoyed he’s self too. I’m hoping this is the beginning of a renewed friendship.

My Boys

My two boys have to explore everything, I can't open a closet, cabinet or pretty much anything with out them wanting to get in and look around. Here's Smokey, after he finished checking everything out his brother Tiger took a turn but I didn't get a photo of him sorry.

Cleaning the Carpet

I've had this carpet cleaner for a few years now but I've never used it. Guess I was thinking all I had to do was buy it and it would clean the carpets all by it's self. I do that with lots of thing. Guess I'm just lazy; I need something to get me going. Now that I've waited so long to clean the carpets I'm going to have to use industrial equipment supplies. I just hope the supplies are safe for my cats.

Happy Memorial Day

We hope everyone has a great Memorial Day! It was one of the best weather days yet this spring. We spent most of the day napping and watching the birdies outside but we did remember to take time to remember the men and women who have died protecting our country.

Our mommy spent most of Saturday and Monday over at her mothers planting flowers for her. Our grandmother can’t do the planting anymore because of her health so our mommy took our grandmother Saturday to the flower store so she could buy the pretty flower. Grandmother counted the planters wrong so mommy went back the flower to get one more flower for that forgotten planter. Mommy decided to buy some flowers for our back porch too. After she finished at grandmothers, mommy come home and planted the flowers on our porch now all we need is a new patio sets.

I Need Help Losing Weight

The last 3 months I’ve been trying to lose some weight with no luck. I think maybe its because I’m a bit a little depressed. I just have too much time on my hands being out of work. I really need something to get me started. I have thought about going back to weight watchers but I really can’t afford to go back. I’ve been thinking about looking for a safe weight loss pills to try. I did have some luck before using diet pills so if I can find one I can afford I’m thinking of trying one.

Riding Gear

When I was young I wished for a horse or pony for my birthday. I never got the horse but my parents did let me take riding lessons at a riding ranch near our home. I took lessons for a year with one of my best friends. After the lessons we could help groom the horses and feed them. It was one of the best years for both my friend and me. We bought riding clothes thing it would help us be better riders. I found store on line to buy equestrian apparel. Wish when I was younger we had the internet to shop on it would had been so much easier to find the riding gear we need then.

Missed My Chance For A Million

A few years ago my mother and I went to my sister’s for a visit. I was trying to find things to do when I got the idea to make a face on one of my sister’s old trees in her side yard. So we went to the store in search of material to make the face. This is what we came up with.

The very next year we found kits to do the same thing. I guess I missed my million dollar invention.

In Search For Warm Weather

Smokey and Tiger have been asking me when spring is coming? I told them it is spring now. But they want to know why its still cold outside. I told them it’s because we live in Michigan. You just can’t count on the weather here in Michigan if you want to go to a state in the south where the weather is warm all year round. Maybe I should take them on an Orlando vacations.

A Sad Day In Detroit

DETROIT -- Chuck Daly, who coached the original Dream Team to the Olympic gold medal in 1992 after winning back-to-back NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons, has died. He was 78.

When we heard of Mr. Daly's death we were so sad. Our mommy remembers the exciding days of the bad boys. When they won back to back championships (1989 and 1990) what great fun it was. She loved going to the games, see we live real close to the Palace, that's the home of the Pistons so it was easy for mommy to go to the game. We were hoping to take a picture of mommy old bad boys tee shirt but after hours of looking for it she didn't find it. If it turns up we'll post it.

Spring is Here : )

We wanted spring to come all winter but now that it's here mommies not sure if she's so glad about it. She had to cut the grass yesterday for the first time, and it took her all day. She was so tired when she got done that she couldn't even play with us. She told us that in the winter she only had to shovel the snow when it snow but the grass is going to have to be cut every week or week and a half. We had to remind her of how nice the yard looks when she get finished. Good Job Mommy Here's a photo of the flowers in the front yard.
